2. How to use a product purchased online?

All small appliances come with a production manual in their box. If however, you still find something difficult to understand, don't hesitate to call our Customer Service Department on 00357 24818180. 3. Which television size is the best for me?

There is no limit to the size of TV you can buy, if you have a distance of 2.60 meters from the place where you will place it to the point where you will be sitting. The new televisions technologies do not affect your vision. If the distance is 1 to 2 feet, you can buy tvs from 19''-26''. For distance 2-2.6 metres you can buy 19''-37'' tvs. For 3D (three-dimensional image) TVs you must have at least 2.6 meters distance to enjoy the effects of 3D.

Please keep in mind that the inches of a television are measured diagonally from one side of the screen to the other, without the frame.

4. What are the differences between OLED, QNED and LED televisions?

OLED

  • Self lighting dots in the form of tiny lenses.

  • OLEDs do not require backlighting, they consume much less power than LCDs

  • The lifetime of the panel is 100.000 hours if used around 8hrs a day.

  • OLEDs are brighter than LEDs. Because the organic layers of an OLED are much thinner than the corresponding inorganic crystal layers of an LED, the conductive and emissive layers of an OLED can be multi-layered. Also, LEDs and LCDs require glass for support, and glass absorbs some light. OLEDs do not require glass.

QNED

  • Quantum Nano-Emitting Diodes. These tiny nanoparticles help the QNED TV panel filter duller tones that affect the image’s brightness, creating another level of vibrancy.

  • Poorer viewing angle than OLED

  • The lifetime of the panel is 60.000 hours

  • QNED TV’s response time is slower than an OLED screen

  • QNED’s pixels are grouped together in zones using Mini-LEDs.

LED

  • The lens is made of liquid crystals

  • Behind the panels, there are LED lights, making it thinner, more economical in power and with better contrast in black and white

  • The lifetime of the panel is 60.000 hours

  • There is time delay in the movement of the picture

  • LEDs technology may make it difficult to produce consistently natural and believable colour uniformality and tone.

5. What is a Smart TV?

A Smart TV allows you to access the Internet directly on your television screen in a convenient and fun way.

6. What is a magic motion remote control?

The Magic Motion remote is the easiest way to control your LG Smart TV – just point, click, and enjoy! With simple movements and gestures, you can drag, flick, and select your preferences, without the hassle of using multiple buttons and arrow keys

7. What is the difference between an induction hob and the ceramic/electric hob?

The electromagnetic energy generated by an induction coil reacts only with magnetic materials, not with ceramic surfaces. The magnetic base of the pot absorbs the electromagnetic energy and converts it into heat energy thus making the base of the pan the source of the heat, guaranteeing safety and energy savings. Therefore, it cooks incredibly fast and saves vast amounts of energy. It can boil 1 liter of water in just 2 minutes, as opposed to the ceramic hobs that take up to 10 minutes and the gas hobs that take up to 8 minutes.

In order for an induction hob to function, you have to use pots and pans with a magnetic base only. You can easily check their base by using a fridge magnet. If the bases of your pots are attracted to the fridge magnet,  you can use them. In addition, the induction hobs require strong ventilation. For this reason, if the built-in oven is placed under the induction hob, ventilation should be created between the oven and hob.

4. How can I clean my kettle from the toughness of my water?

Put two parts of water with one part white vinegar in your kettle. Use white vinegar since it will not discolour your kettle like the red vinegar. Leave your kettle overnight. It may need longer to clean, depending on the toughness of your water. White vinegar is the easiest and more hygienic solution to clean your kettle.
